On September 11, 2001, Nate
Martinez and a business partner founded RE/MAX
Professionals in Glendale, Arizona. Seven years later, they employ
over 150 agents in three offices that serve the Northwest corner of
the Phoenix metro area. It should come as no surprise that Martinez
is ranked among the top two-percent of all REALTORS® in the
entire
United States.
Like many municipalities, Glendale does not permit billboards anywhere in its city limits, not even on busy commercial roads like the six lane corridor where the RE/MAX Professionals office is located. Nate wanted an edge. He found his edge with an Spark Marketing Utility Vehicle.
Since it's a real working truck, Nate’s MUV complies with the sign ordinance that continues to restrict other forms of outdoor advertising in Glendale. Each day over 55,000 cars pass directly in front of Nate’s building, with his truck parked in the most visible space out front. A new ad for Nate, one of his top agents, or one of his featured properties is displayed every
seven seconds.
Spark builds MUV trucks as much for utility as for marketing. Every day, Nate’s MUV is a vital part of his RE/MAX operation, delivering yard signs, key boxes, and brochures to his newly listed properties. The rotating multi-image displays only reduce the interior cargo space by five inches on each side of the utility body.
But MUV isn’t all work and no play. If you go to an Arizona Diamondback baseball game, you’re likely to see Nate’s MUV parked on the most visible corner as you come or go from the ballpark. The animated ad displays capture the attention of thousands of fans and remind them to call Nate first when they are ready to buy or sell their next home.
A long-time believer in the power of mobile marketing, Nate paid thousands of dollars to wrap his previous truck with advertising. After several years it was time to freshen up the message, and Nate spent thousands more to have the truck re-wrapped. With his new MUV, he can change the message as often as he wants. It takes just minutes to install a new ad that covers the entire side of the truck. And instead of thousands, each ad only costs a few hundred dollars.

Note: Nate's truck is a 2006 model. Spark's current model that is most similar to the one made for Nate is the Spark Impact 14. The latest model adds many new features, and even costs less.
